The Back of the Envelope Case is a cognitive ability test frequently used in assessments by top-tier consultancy firms. The test measures skills such as numerical insight, analytical thinking and mental arithmetic.
In this case, you calculate the size of the total cheese market in the Netherlands for the fictional family business De Gatenkaas. Grab a pen and paper and do not use the internet.
