Tackling bottlenecks in Axians’ CMDB
Three student consultants worked on improving and streamlining Axians’ configuration management database (CMDB). They mapped bottlenecks and processes and carried out action points together with Axians.
Approach
From bottlenecks to action points
- Identifying bottlenecksThrough interviews, the main bottlenecks were identified and the processes that interact with the CMDB were mapped.
- Causes and action pointsNext, the causes of the bottlenecks were established and action points were drawn up to address them.
- Carrying them out togetherThe action points were then carried out in collaboration with Axians to further optimise the CMDB and its associated processes.
