Support for Process Modeling at the Municipality of Midden-Delfland
The Municipality of Midden-Delfland sought to enhance its operational efficiency and improve its financial policy capabilities. In response, the Finance and Policy Department embarked on mapping and optimizing its internal processes.
Student Consultant is providing support in this effort. Our student consultants are assisting with various internal projects, focusing primarily on process modeling. The projects range from structuring the contract management process and devising a strategy for the invoicing process to optimizing procedures for local taxes.
Our consultants are working closely with the staff of the Finance and Policy Department while conducting independent research to map out various processes. They have already performed market research among municipalities and conducted interviews with staff members. The findings from these studies have been analyzed and serve as direct input for process mapping and optimization efforts.
Outcome
As a result of our student consultants' involvement, the Municipality of Midden-Delfland received a comprehensive improvement proposal, including recommendations for enhancing the local tax process. Additionally, our consultants structured the contract management process, centralizing contracts to streamline subsequent audits.
In the coming months, our student consultants will focus on further process documentation and optimization concerning various policy rules. They are also working on developing a strategy to anticipate changes in invoicing practices.
